A Family United by Love and Purpose
“Familia Moja” means “One Family” in Kiswahili—a name that beautifully reflects our mission. We’re not just a children’s home; we’re a warm, nurturing community where children from all backgrounds find love, care, and a deep sense of belonging.
Founded in September 2007 by Wambui Muiru, with the generous support of Jess White and James Woodward, Familia Moja was born from compassion and a calling to serve. To this day, Wambui remains the heart and soul of our home, embodying the love, unity, and purpose we live by.
